While on the helicopter, among the safety items put on is the flight helmet. It is a protective gear in that it protects the head in case of a crash. It also consists of some additional items such as night vision glasses and a microphone to facilitate communication with other members of the team.

It is not easy to find direction or navigate well in places which are new. This is made possible through the aid of direction finder gadgets. They help in giving coordinates and locations on where the mission is to take place. Users should be trained on how to use them before they are allowed to comprise them in their tasks.
