After making chocolate from cocoa beans we get its shell as a byproduct. Even as a byproduct it should not be seen as waste because it can still be used to make cacao tea. This beverage serves many worldwide homes and mostly in Africa. Users of this tea really beget a lot of health benefits.

Vitamins and minerals; it comes packed with many minerals and vitamins. Much needed Vitamin C in our bodies is found in it. Minerals such as potassium, copper, iron, magnesium and calcium all necessary for our body functions are found in the cacao husks which is used to make the tea. Our bodies can't function well in lack of these minerals. For example we need iron to make red blood cells.

Health of the heart; cocoa contains some minerals that really help the heart health wise. The increase of heart functions by Magnesium really keeps the blood flowing. The survival of your body is dictated by oxygen; key mineral, copper, increases the chances of red blood cells getting oxygen, this circulates through the blood around our bodies. You also have Vitamin E, of which keeps the heart health and bars any disease from attacking the heart.

Feeling good; there are compounds in the cacao that boosts up and balance the levels of Serotonin leaving with you contentment and pure happiness the whole day. Serotonin is responsible for this. This has become a key consideration of cocoa being aphrodisiac from both men and women although it is yet to be scientifically proven.

The brain function; the increase of your brain activity is always beneficial to you because you become alert and lively. Side effects such as headaches are always found in things that increase brain activity; cocoa has the brain activity capabilities without the side effects. The effects of cacao in comparison with caffeine are similar yet cocoa does not have heart problems which is in the case of caffeine thus it is better. There is therefore more health sense whilst drinking this tea.

Fighting illness; one of the diseases that has indiscriminately faced all people across all countries and social classes is diabetes. This disease has left out no one spared, both the young and the old. There are foods that people living with diabetes have been told to really keep away from so as to better and not worsen their conditions. The people with this condition can benefit from cocoa tea because not only can they not increase blood sugar levels because it is not sweetened, it can also greatly improve cell function.

The once thought to be a waste is now one of the best health products you should always be keeping in your kitchen cabinet for a healthier life. Living a long healthy and happy life which comes with the improvement of serotonin in your body by cocoa tea is every persons wish.
