Authentic Autographed Sports Memorabilia For Sale

By Lana Bray

There are a lot of ways today for someone to purchase authentic autographed sports memorabilia. They can get things signed themselves and avoid all the hassles of buying these things and how much they cost. Or they can find someone selling them and try to negotiate a fair price and purchase the items directly. Or they can go to a licensed auction.

This is especially true if you can somehow get it for their favorite team. That will really send them through the roof. Usually when people receive a gift like this they will go to a professional framer to have it framed. If it is a jersey it will live its life forever on the wall of their man cave or wherever they entertain friends.

It is very common for kids especially to sit by the dugout before a baseball game and get autographs from the players on the teams. This happens now at almost every major sporting event. The players from both teams will meet fans in a certain location for a specific period of time and sign anything that you hand them. Because of this people try to fake these all the time.

When people are selling these now the buyers will often ask for some way to authenticate the signature or the item. They want to be sure that the item is really signed and signed by the person who is claimed to be the signature maker. The difference between a worthy item with and without a signature can be huge financially.

They then have to call all of their customers who they know are looking for collectibles like that or who are on a list of people to call for certain items. When they are all called, they set a date for them to be able to come in and look at the items so they know what is available and what it looks like and what condition it is in.

That is what makes some of these items so special. The fact that no one else in the world has the item that you have. They might have a jersey with the same players signature of it but they do not have yours. Each signature is unique in its own way and yours is extra special because of what you went through to get it.

After all of these viewings are done all everybody needs to do is wait for the auction date. Once the date finally arrives people will file in and take their seats. Items will be called out and auctioned one by one. There will be bids coming from the floor as well as from people who are calling in because they could not attend.

When players feel this way it is sometimes difficult to fault them for it. They are absolutely correct in that people are selling their likeness for money. Selling authentic autographed sports memorabilia with their name and likeness is a way to make sometimes thousands of dollars. They figure there is no reason that someone else should profit from it and they get nothing at all.
