1.There are three common approaches which you can apply to catch stripers here. The basic is using live bait which generally will work well for you in any time of the year. Second is the use of artificial lures like slabs which are cast in to the water to draw the stripers. Third is the long line trolling of crank baits which is a popular one.

2.In the spring season, the waters are warmed and this brings the stripers to the shallow and flat edges. These are the areas where sun rays can penetrate and warm up the water. The flats that are adjacent to the deep waters also are best to troll the long bills and red fins. This trend makes it generally easy to capture the fish as they are closer to the water surface. The trend continues up to March when the stripers leave for the upper river.

3.Different types of bass like the smallmouth, largemouth and bass are often around the banks, boat docks and the breakwaters. The catfish can be caught using cut, live shad and baits throughout the year. During spring is the best season to go for a fishing trip here. The water levels are high and as temperatures rise, the fish move to rocks for spawning.
